Terms & AI limits

Fashion or Death is operated by James Davis for adults aged 18 and over. These terms explain the conditions for using the app and website. The privacy policy explains how data is handled.

Use the service lawfully. Only submit photos you own or have permission to use, including permission from anyone pictured. Do not submit intimate images, images of children, sensitive documents, or content intended to harass someone. Do not misuse the service, bypass usage limits, or interfere with other people’s access.

Fit Check produces automated styling suggestions. It can misunderstand a photo, invent a detail, or give poor advice. It cannot establish exact fit, comfort, material, brand, or suitability from an image. Your judgment and personal taste come first.

The homepage fashion recap is generated from selected public publisher-feed excerpts and official calendar facts. It may omit context or get details wrong. It is not a substitute for the original reporting or independent verification.

Roast and Murder are optional theatrical tones aimed at clothing choices. They are not permission to judge someone’s body, identity, attractiveness, or personal worth. Raise concerns about offensive or inappropriate output through Support.

Face detection can miss faces. Review the prepared image and its background before sending it. Redaction reduces exposure; it is not a guarantee that the image cannot identify you.

Free capacity and provider availability can limit Fit Check. No secondary model is currently enabled, so a check may pause or return without a verdict when Dots is unavailable or its answer is unusable. The service does not switch to a paid AI model.

Editorial content expresses styling opinions. Publisher stories, images, videos, trademarks, and external content belong to their respective rights holders. Attribution is not a claim of partnership or endorsement. Article images support the editorial text; captions describe what they show and do not verify a garment's fit, material, or other product details.

Shopping is optional. Search results may contain ads and do not guarantee a product’s quality, authenticity, price, sizing, or availability. Check the original retailer’s listing, policies, and checkout details. Purchases and returns are handled by that retailer under its own terms.

External sites operate independently. We cannot control their content or service. Any future affiliate or sponsored placement will need a clear disclosure alongside the relevant recommendation.

You retain your rights in your photos. Choosing Fit Check authorizes the processing described in the privacy policy to provide that check; it does not authorize us to publish your photo or use it for marketing. The app does not publish to Instagram in this release.

Features and these terms may change as the app develops. Changes will be described here. Nothing in these terms removes consumer or privacy rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Contact Support with questions or concerns.
